Blueberry Recipes

A glass of fresh blueberries covers one third of daily vitamin C requirement. In addition, it contains 85 milligrams of potassium, 18 grams of carbohydrates, 4.5 g of dietary fibre and only 80 calories. Nothing beats the taste of fresh berries, but frozen fruit retains its flavour, tenderness and nutritional value for up to 2 years. Blueberries can be served with ice-cream, fresh yoghurt or whipped cream. Their flavour is enriched with vanilla and lemon juice. Blueberry cookies and pancakes are very popular. Homemade blueberry jams and preserves always taste as delicious as on the day when they were made.
